Ray LaLonde is your Contestant of the Week remaining as champ going into the new year! And this week also ended w/ a TOTAL CLEAN SWEEP for Daily Doubles & FJ!.
Sole honorable mention: Sharif Nasr started the week becoming our THIRD DOUBLE SHOWCASE WINNER THIS SEASON!!!
Alexandra Cook is your Zonk Contestant of the Week and nominee for WORST CONTESTANT OF SEASON 4O OF WHEEL OF FORTUNE. As if this episode wasn’t already hampered w/ duds, Alexandra had not one, not two, but THREE BAFFLING ONES costing her big money (two of which in the same round)…

Dishonorable mentions:
-Janel Zelli went all the way for the $10K in Grand Game but unfortunately went over the target price w/ the aluminum wrap, tumbled to $0, and as it would turn out, cost us a perfect PG show.
-Oh boy, Thursday’s episode of Wheel was, to say the least, AN EPIC FAIL. It could mostly be blamed on BANKRUPTs, but still it was VERY PAINFUL to watch. Firstly, this is where it all started — I WROTE IT ON A STICKY NOTE that Joseph Moore would make an unnecessary house minimum solve in R1 after a PAINFUL BANKRUPT flushed $9,850 away from Mary Guenthart. And also, R2 was hampered w/ penalty spins which resulted in only $800 over the minimum (assuming both opening toss-ups were solved) being given away to this point. Same for R3, and…

Joseph FLUNKS OUT w/ O…and we got a $0 prize puzzle win as Bree Pecci makes the same mistake as him from R1 (although Pat said “You mean you don’t want to spin the wheel after the bankrupt festival?” and she responded w/ “not after two in a row”). And then we had this on the first RHYME TIME triple toss-up…

Mary goes overboard by a letter w/ LEGAL BEAGLE, so we have already a record pace of our fourth TRIPLE STUMPER at this of the season — UGH. -__- Although we had extra time in R4, it didn’t matter because…

Mary makes a CRITICAL PURCHASE of U. Also, Josephcalls a singular R instead of the multiple F’s. And if the maingame wasn’t bad enough, guess which BR category Bree picked? You guessed it, THING. -___- That was A BOLD CHOICE by her to pick that category… for all the wrong reasons as she loses the $45K and becomes the new lowest-scoring winner this season (and she was JUST $250 SHORT of setting a new RECORD-LOW winning total of the Triple Toss-Up era). This puts 2/23, 3/30 & 6/1 from last season to shame. -___-
